What is the performance target? How can we set it?

Advertisement-Space

“Performance target” is just a target for the number of conversions, total spend, or cost per acquisition. It can be set when creating your campaign.

Performance targets allow you to monitor and forecast the overall performance of campaigns so that you’ll know if you’re on track to meet your goals. It is measured by specific targets related to metrics like clicks or conversions. If it looks like you’re not on track, you can consider adjusting your campaign settings to improve performance.

How can we set the performance target?

Only one active performance target can be applied to a campaign or campaign group at a time. It can be set when creating your campaign. You can measure how your campaigns perform for one metric, such as conversions or clicks. You can also add a specific target that you’d like to reach for that metric. For example, if you select conversions, you can set a target for the number of conversions, total spend, or cost per acquisition.

  1. Click the Select a metric dropdown to choose a metric to measure for these campaigns. Always keep in your mind your goals and bidding you set for these campaigns. It might help you to align the metric you select for your group with the metric that your campaigns are optimized to get.
  2. Select a date range for your target. This is the range that you’ll use to compare your target with your actual performance.
  3. (Optional) Set the target you’d like to reach for the metric and date range you selected.
  4. Click Save.Navigation
